The winter of 2010 was relentless, and was followed by a hot spring and summer. August brought abundant rainfall, and more rain during the harvest undermined the quality of the grapes. Maison Perrier-Jouët undertook a rigorous selection and devoted the best of the harvest to Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Rosé, a cuvée whose style was favoured by the conditions, and the only one for which it declared a vintage. Characterised by remarkable vinosity, this is thus a particularly rare cuvée from one of the few champagne houses to produce a 2010 vintage.
A pale apricot colour shot through with bright glints, and alive with fine and constant bubbles.
Pronounced, fragrant aromas of white flowers and wild strawberry.
A wonderfully fresh and lively wine with a long, lingering finish.
